The son of the late Sayyid Muhammad Shirazi, Ayatollah Ridha Shirazi passed away at the young age of 48 in the holy city of Qom this Sunday.

The son of the late Sayyid Muhammad Shirazi, Ayatollah Ridha Shirazi passed away at the young age of 48 in the holy city of Qom this Sunday.
He was born in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, but he lived much of his life in exile in Kuwait. Following the Islamic Revolution in Iran, he, along with his father Sayyid Muhammad Shirazi, moved to the holy city of Qom. He studied there under his father as well as various other teachers. He was considered an eminent scholar and jurist among scholarly circles.
He will be laid to rest in his hometown of Karbala on Tuesday, June 3.
