Make no doubt about it

Even in prayer, charity he gave

Ali is the sword
Ali is ignored
Ali is known by the Prophet
And is known by his Lord
The Prophet's brother, the Prophet's friend
Upon whom the Prophet would depend
Ali changes youth
Ali brings the truth
Ali stood by the Prophet
When the Prophet broke his tooth
The Prophet's companion and right hand man
Was with the Prophet since his life began
Ali did not mislead
Ali had no greed
Ali stood by the Prophet
When announced to succeed
Ali was most patient, Ali was most wise
Ali is praised on Earth, and on heavenly skies
