Madam Sefati actively participated in Islamic propagation against the Pahlavi regime. She faced many hardships in the course of her anti-Shah activities, and her brother was martyred by that regime. She was also in communication regularly with Islamic thinkers, such as Ayatollah Murtadha Mutahhari, Ayatollah Beheshti and Ayatollah Qoddousi.

It was only logical for the Prophet to appoint a vanguard who would lead the believers socially and politically after the Prophet. When this leader was abandoned, things spiraled downwards. By forsaking their Divinely-chosen leader, the Muslims had essentially created an authority vacuum in the Muslim world.

Islam teaches its followers to remember Allah at all times, and when one witnesses such events occurring, they should serve as a reminder of God's power and might. Hence, the Prayer of Signs is mandated.

The Infallibles are our best examples in this world to prepare ourselves for the next. They have shown us through their teachings that we must be in a constant state of worship. Imam Baqir once said, "I would indeed fear if death came to me while I was in the state of committing a sin."

The 40th day commemoration of Imam Husain (peace be upon him) should be a time for us all to reflect on our situation as individuals, as a community and as a Muslim nation. Indeed, we should try our best to attend the 40th day commemoration programs at the Islamic centers.

We need to examine and adopt the examples the All-Merciful Allah has provided for us through our Prophets and Imams (peace be upon them), as well as the Quran.  Let us not react right away to sudden situations.

I heard someone ask, "Why is the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) and the tragedy of Karbala considered a sad event?" Why aren't we joyous that the heroes achieved martyrdom and saved Islam? Is the purpose of Muharram to get sad or compete in mourning rituals?

It is narrated that the prominent Sunni jurist Abu Hanifa said to Imam as-Sadiq, "I saw your son Musa praying, and people were walking right in front of him, and he didn't forbid them from that."

For 29 years now, we have sat back and taken the lies, accepted the critiques, the misinterpretations, the ignorance. Imam Khomeini was a figure who gave his all to make people feel proud of their beliefs, making it unbearable to just sit back."

From the explanation of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny), we know the Ulil Amr are those appointed by Allah, particularly the Imams of the Ahlul Bayt.
