Imaam of the time
The blessing of Allah
Imaam, most sublime

I've heard of you in my mother's lap
I've heard of you in the lecture hall
I pray for you before I nap
To attend on your orders when you will call

We've waited fourteen hundred years
The Earth longs for your reign
We're anxious for you to appear
For the start of your campaign

As'Salaamu 'Alaikum, Imaam of the era
Imaam of the time
The blessing of Allah
Imaam, most sublime

For you, the Sun does shine
For you, the Earth does turn
For you are most divine
We pray for your return

On your beck and call, master of the era
We will lay down our life
On your order, commander of the believers
We will face any strife
Put up a valiant fight

As'Salaamu 'Alaikum, Imaam of the era
Imaam of the time
The blessing of Allah
Imaam, most sublime

We send our salaam everyday
To those, precious, whom we betrayed
We disobeyed, pushed you away
Now feel helpless, in utter dismay
As people of the ummah go astray

Miracles, we've seen
Now wait for the unseen
The answer to our prayers
Last of the infallible fourteen
