Dwayne Wade is coming off an injury this year.

MLB

It's come down to game seven in the championship series, with the Red Sox facing the Rays. After going 3-1, Boston's hopes had all but drained away, heading into the bottom of the 7th with score 7-0. Then came David Ortiz hitting a homer to bring Dustin Pedroia, which lead to their unimaginable victory 8-7. After winning game 6, they have set themselves up to in good position. Now the last game is at Tampa, so Boston needs to be careful if they want a chance to head back to the World Series.

NBA

Preseason has started! Finally the wait is over, and things seem to be pretty normal. Most of last year's top teams are showing their dominance even while showcasing their new comers. My predictions for the teams that are going to be representing their respective conference in the NBA championship are Detroit for the East and the Lakers for the West. Surprisingly, though, the Lakers have come out flat in this year's preseason. Again the preseason is less about winning the games and more about preparing for the regulation season, testing new plays, trying out new players, but I expected the Lakers to play with more hustle on the defensive side. However, I think they still believe that their offence can make up for any defensive mistakes. I am most interested to see how Andrew Bynum plays this year; before his devastating injury, he had started to play very well. It will be interesting to see if the injury affected him or not. Also another play to watch is Dwayne Wade, coming off injury after injury that caused him to play less them the MVP we all know he can be. But his performance at the Olympics was nothing less than spectacular, and it is bound to carry over, bring life to a dead Miami team. I think Miami is definitely a team to look out for this coming season.

NFL

People were worried about stopping the Cowboys before, but now it will be merely impossible. A blockbuster trade was made Tuesday before the trade deadline, which has put the Cowboys back on their road to a definite Super Bowl. Their recent play has not been because of teams somehow gaining a blueprint to defending against the high powered offence of the Cowboys. It is because of sloppy mental errors and bad judgment on the part of the coaches. With the addition of Roy Williams to an already star-studded team, the Cowboys offense is by far the most talented team every put together in NFL history. Roy will need a few weeks to get the offensive play calls down and the scheme memorized. He will need a few weeks with Romo to get his timing right and be on the same page. But once that is all taken care of, there will be no stopping them. It's pick your poison time. You want to double TO and Roy? Fine, then you'll have to deal with Witten and Marian, and we can't forget Patrick Crayton. Even though his mouth moves more then it should, the kid can play. So watch out NFL, the Cowboys are a team to be reckoned with!
