USC vs. Oregon State
Wow, what a year its turning out to be in NCAA football. Three major upsets in two weeks, and more could be one the way. The upset of the season would have to be USC vs. Oregon State. Oregon State, a team which really hasn't accomplished much of anything, came into the game as a pulse 20 underdog. They had no business even scoring on a team as physical and athletic as USC. Just watching the game, you could tell how much bigger, taller, and faster USC was, but Oregon State came out and played amazingly well, controlling most of the game and ending a late game surge to hold on for an impressive victory.

Another upset was Florida vs. Mississippi. Now, this wasn't as big of an upset because Mississippi has been very competitive in the games they have lost. All their losses were decided by a touchdown or less and against very strong competition. Wake Forest current ranked 20th in the nation, and Vanderbilt is quickly becoming a team to be reckoned with. But to top it off, number 4 Florida, consider by some to be the leading contender for another national title shot, was a huge boost in their confidence, giving them hope for this year and the next few years to come.

LSU vs. Arkansas

This game is not till the very end of the season and may not mean much in terms of a shot at a bowl game. But Arkansas has very talented team; a majority of their starters is freshmen, and I think by the end of the season they will have finally grasped the scheme Bobby Petrino has brought to Arkansas. If LSU can overcome the likes of Georgia and Alabama and I think they can, this could be the upset game we've been waiting for.

Penn State vs. Michigan

This has been a rivalry for the ages. They have had many hard-fought games, and I suspect this to be no different. Michigan has not been itself the last two years; their offense is not clicking whatsoever. But they have a lot of things going in the right direction with an up-and-coming QB. This is also a game I look forward to watching.

Finally, this game will not be an upset of any sort, because both teams have a tremendous amount of talent on both sides of the ball. They seem to beat every team with ease, a margin of no less than 24 points. These teams are powerhouses and have been for several years. It is a wonder neither of them have more national championships in the past 20 years.

Texas vs. Oklahoma

Number 5 vs. Number 1 is a game that will have many glued to their seats with a number of high-powered offenses lead by two very good QBs with great accuracy and decision making. I don't expect a shot out; I expect them to run the ball more to control the clock and keep the opponent off the field. Either way, it will be a game that we'll be talking about for a while.

Prediction: Texas 24, Oklahoma 17. Texas wins with an interception on a last-minute drive by the Sooners to try to tie.
